A conflict of interests

When People like John Key say "there is corruption in the labour party", who would be in a better position to know? trouble is they now want, and will get, their turn, and by all accounts they are just as dishonest, there seems to be no-one to step up and do the right thing by all New Zealand Citizens.

Politicians put their names to major shareholdings in what are deemed state owned enterprises, there are no guarantees that "the people of New Zealand" are represented. Companies registry details do not include the words "& the people of New Zealand" so legally these assets may actually be the property of whichever minister or the crown has his or her name as a major shareholder or the corporate body they represent in reality.

The plot thickens as one follows the trail of companies, either merged or struck off or subcontracted to each of the major company names. They appear to form new companies on a whim, but there is purpose.

What was it Cullen and Burton achieved for New Zealanders in their time in office?
